King & Prince has retained Focus Acquisition Partners as its exclusive M&A advisor to identify and advise on an acquisition of a frozen food manufacturing company located west of the Mississippi.
Founded over 100 years ago, King & Prince has an excellent reputation as a manufacturer of frozen seafood products for the food service sector, and is well positioned to pursue acquisition opportunities.
Increased demand for its products has lead to a necessity to acquire additional manufacturing and distribution capabilities and capacity. Acquisition opportunities with the following characteristics are of interest.
Location:
West of the Mississippi
Right-to-work state preferable
Railroad access is a “nice to have”
Manufacturing Capabilities and Scale:
Frozen “brown and crunchy” fried food products (protein or vegetables)
Not interested in manufacturers of fried chicken or pork
Existing (or floorspace to install) battered and breaded fry line
Spiral freezer (all products produced are frozen)
Capacity to produce upwards of 20 million pounds annually
Minimum plant size 30,000 square feet with land for future expansion
USDA or FDA certified
Freezer and Storage:
On site preferable or within 30 minute drive
Customers:
Preference is for branded food service, but can have a mix of private label or copacking
Ideally food service customers - including restaurants
Revenue:
$30M to $150M
